Cas(e) this sketch with SNOW!!!

I absolutely love this stamp set. The cozy little home with the snow glistening on the rooftops. Love it. I found two sketches this week and combined them. The first was for this fabulous sketch over at Cas(e) this sketch! The second is a new blog challenge at Addicted to CAS. The first challenge was to incorporate SNOW! I hope mine is a CAS card. I have layers, which I love to do, but its still pretty CAS.

Cas(e) Sketch

I found a new sketch challenge blog!!! Cas(e) this Sketch. Love it. I had this card in my head all morning, and just put it together.  Just before uploading, I check the site again, and so many people have had the same idea from this card sketch to hang little ornaments! Great minds think alike I guess!

I am also using the colours from Dynamic Duos again. love this colour combination! I might have to find someone with more Sahara Sand paper though, I am running low :)

FMS & DD

This is my second attempt at the Freshly Made Sketches blog challenge. I love it now! This sketch is awesome!!  I needed help with colours, so I turned Dynamic Duos this week, and it was Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobler from Stampin' Up! I absolutely LOVE this colour combination. I will definitely be making a few more of these cards for my family and friends this year.
I decided to add twine to my card in place of the third panel on the left side. I found it needed a little something.  And, I went with rectangle instead of a circle, but I can totally see this card with a circle too, maybe my other cards I will.

FMS - Christmas

I am so happy with myself, making another Christmas card! I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week.  

I did a card this afternoon in hopes of making it in time for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge, but just noticed I am too late :( But I am posting my card anyway. 

THe lighting on these cards are horrible! I am taking them at night, grrr....I should know how to take a decent photo!

Back at it!!!!

I am not back in my craft room yet, but I did set up my stuff at the kitchen table this morning.  I have been wanting to make a card for a long time. I believe the last time I made a card it was in April! I miss my craft room sooooo much.  I miss my time to myself. I hope to have it back soon.  Renovations are progressing really nicely!!

Here is my card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  I have only 10 or so Christmas cards left to make for 2012 and then I can start addressing them. That doesn't mean they will get out on time though!!

Making progress

We are making progress! Thank goodness hubby is good with his hands and we have family and friends to help us out with this huge project! Strapping went up on the ceiling this weekend, wiring for the pot lights next, and then gyp-rock! We had a slight set back with car problems, got that fixed, now we are back at it! It's much warmer too now down there!   We'd like to have the gyprock up and done by Christmas!!!  and, Then, I can get back to my cards and scrapbooking, and joining on challenges!!!!!!!!!

Missing my mojo!!!!

I have been neglecting my crafty side for some time now, and wanted to show you why! Aside from having my daughter home for the summer and having fun with them both now, I have been busy with my photography business. Weddings take up a bunch of my time, and my stamping time gets put on the back burner.

Recently, I went into my craft room to make a banner for a wedding couple.  I started to smell a strange oder in my room. hmmmmm...........when hubby started vacation for 2 weeks in august we were going to start finishing a family room in the basement, and decided to rip the walls out of my room and redo them too while we were at it, so we wouldn't have to do it again in a couple of years. Thank god we decided on that!!!!!  Found a HUGE crack in the foundation!!! Called in the experts to have it fixed, so now we can continue on down the road to finishing! We are still a long way away, but hopefully I will get my room back before Halloween!?!?!?!! I am crossing my fingers anyways :) lol

So, a few pics to show you.  Its a disaster. Looking better today, its all cleaned up and the cracks are filled! now on to framing!!!!  My room was in the back corner with the two nice windows!!!

I really hope to be back soon!!! I miss stamping and creating so much!!!!

FMS wedding

Almost a month that I haven't posted!! I have been busy with my other job at the moment. My daughter will be home from school for summer starting Friday, so it's busy at school, end of year activities. Plus, my other job, photography, has taken my time up a lot too.

I have been thinking of this layout and knew exactly what I wanted to do and what colors, so I made this within an hour!!  Just in time too for the deadline at Freshly Made Sketches :)

Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black and Whisper White are the colors.

FMS & Dynamic Duo

I managed to spend a few minutes tonight in my stamp room. I miss it so much. I need to get back into making more, I really need that time to relax and clear my mind.

I found a new blog challenge over at Dynamic Duos to use two beautiful colors, Pool Party and So Saffron and a neutral of my choice if I wanted, so I went with Basic Grey :) Love this color combination.  This is my second time doing this color combo, my first attempt didn't turn out :( But I am loving this one!!  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches, its a wonderful sketch, one I will be turning too again and again!

I love how I did my little sentiment....I used the breast part of the Owl Punch!! I love when I can use my punch in different ways :)   You should try it!! I wanted something that would stick out, and it works!!!!

Baby Jacob

This is obviously not a card or scrapbook page, however, I am trying to test my resizing of pictures and quality for the net. Facebook is giving me a hard time with my resizing, so I wanted to see what it looked like here, compared to on FB. Forgive me! But, at least this little guy is just adorable!!!!

It seems like forever again since I crafted something. I needed another sympathy card, so I decided to visit my stamp room this morning.

The sketch is from The Paper Players, and what a great sketch it is. I had trouble with it, but I guess i like it now.

Birthday FMS

I have been thinking of a card to make all week for the Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge, and it took me until just an hour ago to finally agree on what to create, and there is only 50 minutes left to the challenge!! LOL....nothing like cutting it close! and once again, I rotated the sketch :)

Easter goodies!!!!

Two challenges today, and boy what a challenge these were!!! My daughter wanted to make some goodies for her class, so my thinking brain clicked on. I seen on pinterest a pouch with candies, and I wanted to create something simple like that, since I had 16 to make!

My cello bags were 3x5, so i cut an inch off the top, loaded 15 jelly beans into each bag, folded over an  inch or so and stapled them closed.  Next I took a piece of Stampin' Up! Soft Suede, and cut it 3'' wide, by 6 3/4. Scored it on the long side at 3/4'', 3.5'', 3.75'', and 4''.    My DSP is cut at 2 7/8'' by 1 7/8''.  I hope I did those dimensions right.

The girls have little purses, and the boys have a backpack!!!

My daughter ended up feeling under the weather this weekend, so she sat at the table and colored in the images and helped me fold the creases.  I finished the rest with gluing. She loves them!

Paper Playing Birthday with my assistant :)

I managed to make a card today! wow!! It's been forever and a day since I stepped foot in my craft room.  I have been busy on house renos, photography sessions, life in general. I was so delighted to be able to play in my room this morning. I had this card idea in my head for a few days now and I needed just 30 minutes or so to get it all cut out and put together.  I took a lot of inspiration from Teneale Williams card she posted on her website!! She is just amazing.  So many thanks to Teneale :)

I found a beautiful challenge for a sketch over at the Paper Players! Perfect!!

My little 3.5 year old assistant Elliana, is crawling up behind my card while I took the picture :) So, I thought I'd post a few pics of her too :)
