Easter bunny

This color scheme is so beautiful for Easter cards.

I embossed my wasabi green with the polka dot folder.  Then I inked it up with versamark and embossing it with some clear embossing powder. I love the look and feel of it. It's shiny and it pops!!

I am entering another card in the Hand Stamped Sentiments for the color challenge. I hope it's ok to upload more than one project.  The theme at SUO Challenges is Easter, and the sketch is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches. I hope you will find a little bit of time to join these fabulous challenge blogs.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Tag #2!

These little tags are so fun to make!! I needed another Easter tag, and I'll have to get to a matching card for it tomorrow.

I am entering this in the Tag You're It Challenge.  I love the second little tag, and the flowers!! THose were my inspiration for my tag.    I am also entering it into the color challenge over at ColorQ. I love the colors so much, I had to use the same pallet again.  And the theme at Just Us Girls is to do some splattering!!! My kind of fun!

THanks for stopping by.

Easter wishes

I need to get busy with Easter projects. It's coming up fast!

This weeks challenge at SUO Challenge is an Easter theme.  I wanted a soft, simple, elegant card for my husbands grandmother. I think she will like this one.

The colors are from the ColorQ Challenge.  Kiwi(which I don't have, so I used Pear Pizzaz), Black, Kraft, Grey and Neutral.  I love these colors!

THanks for stopping in.

FMS-129

Finally made it into my craft room this week. With Easter approaching very quickly, I needed to make a few cards.  I am using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week.

I haven't made cards in a while, so I am a little rusty, and this card took me a while to get to where I like it. I made little goofs along the way, but I still like it.

I made my own background panel with the stamp set Summer Silhouette. The colors are Calypso Coral and Pool Party and Very Vanilla.  The sweet bunny and sentiment are from Everybunny.

Easter wishes

Easter is so early this year, so I thought I should have a couple Easter cards on hand.

Sweet Sunday Sketch was perfect for my card. I had the little bunnies already stamped from another card attempt yesterday that didn't work out.

All Stampin' Up materials and supplies.
Thanks for looking.

Easter goodies!!!!

Two challenges today, and boy what a challenge these were!!! My daughter wanted to make some goodies for her class, so my thinking brain clicked on. I seen on pinterest a pouch with candies, and I wanted to create something simple like that, since I had 16 to make!

My cello bags were 3x5, so i cut an inch off the top, loaded 15 jelly beans into each bag, folded over an  inch or so and stapled them closed.  Next I took a piece of Stampin' Up! Soft Suede, and cut it 3'' wide, by 6 3/4. Scored it on the long side at 3/4'', 3.5'', 3.75'', and 4''.    My DSP is cut at 2 7/8'' by 1 7/8''.  I hope I did those dimensions right.

The girls have little purses, and the boys have a backpack!!!

My daughter ended up feeling under the weather this weekend, so she sat at the table and colored in the images and helped me fold the creases.  I finished the rest with gluing. She loves them!

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, let me know!

The three challenges:
Just Add Ink....Just add Easter this week!
Hand Stamped Sentiments with using the picture as inspiration. My inspiration? the bunnies!!!

Easter Card

I finally made a card with this cute stamp from Stampin' Up! I purchased it in October, and have tried many times to use it, but it just wouldn't come together.  I found this sketch from The Paper Players, and love it.  I had to place the butterfly on the other corner, to balance out my card. What a great sketch.

I stamped the image with Staz On and colored in with blender pen.  I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade and used my technique I came up with a while ago using the Decorative Label punch, which you can check out HERE, and was featured on one of Mary Fish's one minute to WOW videos you can see here.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Happy Easter- new technique

Hi everyone,

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter!

It certainly has been a while since I made a post. Usual excuse: Life :)  It's true. It's been crazy, but I love it anyway.

I was trying to put together an Easter Card, and didn't have an egg stamp, so I turn to my Stampin' Up! punches, and what do I find?  The Owl Punch!

Here is my card using the Owl punch for the Eggs, and the steps below with pictures on how to achieve the look.  This is my original idea, so if it's out there somewhere and has already been discovered, well, then, great minds think alike.

Here are the steps.  I used Bliss Stamp Set for the eggs. The colors I used are: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Basic Grey. THe picture doesn't really do the card any justice, it's much prettier in person :)

Stamp the image in the bottom corner of a scrap piece of paper, so you don't waste too much from punching with the owl.

Line up the image inside the owl symmetrically on both sides.

Next, cut off his feet, and the ears rounding them to form an egg!

Sponge the edges to hide an imperfections.

And, that's it! Easy peasy!!!   Here are some more eggs I made!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope this helped, and inspired some of you to try using your punches in different ways!!!!  leave a comment and tell me what you think!!

Have a great weekend!!!!
