Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Today was filled with little crafts for St. Patrick's Day. We started with cards, and a little surprise for my mum, hopefully she isn't checking my blog tonight.......Then we made cupcakes!  They are vanilla with green frosting, very light frosting, but didn't photograph too well.  Then we added some "smarties" for the rainbows on top!  I found some printable tags HERE for the cupcakes, using my punches to punch them out.

This post has lots of pictures, but it sure was a green day here!!

Just Add Ink's challenge this week is green!!   I added a little butterfly after I had taken the picture of the three cards together. I even sewed on my card for first time, so it's a little wonky, lol.  I had seen another challenge blog and it was to make a St. Patrick's Day Card, and now I can't find it :( I really wanted to enter it in that challenge too, if anyone see it, please let me know so I can enter it!!!!!

All Stampin' Up! material and supplies used.
Gumball Green is an awesome color! Put a little strip of Summer Starfruit for the gold, and added some black. Perfect St. Patrick's Day colors!

Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Green

I love the sketch over at Mojo Monday this week.  My card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I am starting to like square cards more and more. I wanted to take a break from reds and pinks for a few days and start some St. Patrick's Day cards! I wanted to use the little monster for the card, and decided to make him a top hat.  I used a clear block to do some color blocking behind him, I find it add a bit of dimension.  I stamped some hearts to make a four leaf clover.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Having an Irish Mum certainly makes me break out the greens this week, and wear it proudly.  I made this adorable card for her. I even sent it in the mail, even though we live only 10 minutes away from each other. I think she will love to get this in the mail!

My material is all Stampin Up!  I don't have a stamp that says 'Happy St. Patrick's Day', so I made one up on my computer and printed it out on White Cardstock from Stampin Up!  I also managed to come up with a new design to go with the Word Window punch. It may have been done before, I have yet to see it anywhere on the internet, but I love it.  I will post some pics of how I did it, but first the cute little card!!!!!!!

And, do you see what's behind the word window punch? It's the Designer Label Punch from Stampin Up! just punched twice!

Here are the steps:

1.  Punch out the shape using your favorite colored paper.

2.  Put the punched out shape back into the punch like this.....and punch again!

3. VOILA!!! Isn't that awesome!!! Fits perfectly with the Word Window Punch as you can see from the card above. And, if you turn the shape 90 degrees, you can use the side of the punch to make a smaller shape and cut the window punch down a bit.  Very easy!!!

Let me know what you think!!! Thanks for stopping in today!!!!
