Merry Monday

It's another week over at Merry Monday Challenge Blog...and this weeks challenge is to use ornaments, blue, silver and grey. Perfect for what I wanted to make.  I have taken pics of the outside, the pull out card, and of course the back :)

I edited this blog post to put up a card of my cat, Perry :) He is a great model.....I wanted to be able to show off this card WITH a pic!!! It will have a picture of my girls instead of the cat though when I go to send them :)

This is a photo card idea I had.   Took me a couple tries to get the measurements right.  It's a pull out card that will still fit in a regular sized envelope for mailing, (maybe minus the brad and ribbon at top, or it will cost you more).

I love how it turned out!!

Thanks
Tracey

Rustic Christmas

LOVE Rustic style Christmas things. I think this card is rustic.

Merry Monday for the Rustic theme.....tans, creams and browns.

Freshly Made Sketches for the sketch.

Christmas all year round for the use of NO patterned paper.

Time Out Challenge for the inspiration photo.....I thought the cozy lodge feel fit this stamp perfectly!

THanks

Merry Monday & FMS

I am really cutting it close for Merry Monday. The link up closes in a hour, and I was determined to get a card done this week.  I have been thinking all week how to combine Freshly Made Sketches and Merry Monday. I love how it turned out. It was difficult to not throw some red or green on the card, but all neutral works!

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday take #2

This is my second take at the challenge over at Merry Monday. The challenge was to make a card based on the christmas carol "Silent night".

I love an evening when the snow is falling, all is calm and bright....this card has the falling snow, the little house covered in glistening snow.

I used a new technique on this card. The packing tape technique! can't wait to make more :) Super easy to make, and it sure does make a pop for this card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Silent night FMS

I am combining two challenges today. One is the sketch, which is from Freshly Made Sketches. The second challenge was to make a card based off "Silent Night", which is from the Merry Monday Challenge Blog.

Silent Night....one of my favorite Christmas carols.  The silence of a cold winters night. The trees are bare, the snow glistening on the trees and ground. All is calm.  The trees from this stamp set (Lovely as a tree) makes me think Christmas and Silent night.

I stamped some snow flurries on the main background, added some dazzling diamonds to the trees and the ground, and added some glitter paper and some ribbon.

Hope you like my card and my interpretation of both challenges.

Christmas Simple and sweet

This week's sketch comes from Freshly Made Sketches. I love how simple and clean this card came out, with a few little details. The main focus is the wonderful Greeting.  Merry Monday's challenge was to have the focus be on the words of the cards.

All stampin up materials and supplies.

Merry Monday & Fab Friday

I have to get started on some Christmas cards, so my daughter and I sat down and each made a card today. This sketch is from Fab Friday, and I decided to enter my first card (yes, my first of the year!) for Merry  Monday.  which called for gifts!!! There are some tiny little gifts around the snowman, hope that counts :)

So I am uploading my card, and my daughters card too, because she wanted me too :)

Cutest little Santa

I have been wanting to ink up this little Santa, and Lesley's Challenge over at Merry Monday, was to have Santa on our cards. Perfect!  My coloring is so bad, I will need to work on that.

The sketch this week is from The Paper Players.  I turned my sketch vertical, and I like it! but I had to move the Sentiment.

Merry Monday #74

Two posts in one day, Two CARDS in one day. I am on a roll. I rearranged my craft room, that must be why I managed to get creative today.

The challenge this week over at Merry Monday is to make a card with woodgrain and it be green and white.  Tough one, but I like how it turned out.

I have no stamps with woodgrain, no embossing folders, nothing with woodgrain. So, I made my own with my bone folder, hope it looks ok.   I made it to look like wainscot walls or a log cabin!
Again today, I used my new technique making the snowflake smaller, I love it!!!!!!

Merry monday

I wanted to join Lesley's challenge this week over at Merry Monday, so I searched for a color challenge, and found a beautiful blue toned one over at Hand Stamped Sentiments! It was a challenge to get this colors all on one card to be honest, but I think it works. I stamped the image in crumb cake, colored in with Indigo blue (I don't own Marina Mist or Not Quite navy ink).  I hope you like it. Another card for my 2012 Card stash.

I really love this challenge, since I am able to play with my Christmas stamps all year long. I purchased them in November and didn't make many cards with them, so I am happy to pull them back out and ink them up!

I must admit, this is my daughter's stamp set :) but she shares nicely!

Thanks for stopping in.

Merry Monday

First, I don't like taking pictures at night! ugh....the lighting is soooo awful!  The red looks wonky! BUT, my procrastination led me to this. I left this challenge until tonight.

I wanted to create a simple Christmas card that I might be able to make a few extra of quickly, so I kept it low key.  I spritzed some Riding Hood Red onto my circle....and I just notice that the sentiment was supposed to be in the bottom corner. oh man, I have lost it tonight. Serves me right for rushing!!! lol

Anyway, here is my card and the sketch for Merry Monday.

Thanks for stopping in.

Merry Monday challenge

I made this card for Lesley's Merry Monday challenge. I don't own an oval die, well, not yet anyway, I think I may have to though. I have seen so many pretty cards with ovals, I may just have to bite the bullet and buy one :)  However, we are able to swap out a shape if we don't have it, so I used the 3" circle die.  I found another challenge too for using glitter, but I can't find it anywhere now. If someone knows what challenge it was PLEASE let me know!!!! Thanks.

So here is the sketch and my card.
Thanks for stopping in, again, two posts today!!!

Christmas all year long!!!

I was checking out Lesley's blog the other day, and came across a new challenge.  It's called Merry Monday. Every week she will post a sketch, and we can join in and make a CHRISTMAS card every week. This way when Christmas rolls around, we will be ready with some cards that we have made throughout the year!!! What a fabulous idea!! It's Christmas all year long!  I wanted to use Polar Party from Stampin' Up!  I bought the set very close to Christmas, and I only made two cards using the set, and kept them both since I liked them so much :)   So, what better way to use stamps we didn't get to use at Christmas! I love this challenge Lesley.

So, here is the sketch......I don't own an oval die :(  So, I opted to use the Top Note instead, hope that's still ok!

And here is my card that will be going in my Christmas card box for 2012!!
