Mojo Monday & Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Two in one this week.  I loved the sketch from the Mojo Monday Challenge, and The Pals Paper Arts Challenge was to emboss! Something I always LOVE to do to my cards, is to emboss.

This is my Grammie-in-law's birthday card. She is turning 91. I know she likes flowers, so went with the Bold Blossom Stamp set.  I love Sale-a-bration!!!!! I received this stamp set free!! I used Concord Crush, and Pear Pizzazz, two of my favorite colors, and added some Melon Mambo for the flowers and sentiment. The Sentiment is from the Create-a cupcake stamp set.

All Stampin' Up! materials.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here is my card:

The inside of the card, I usually don't decorate inside, but I thought it looked too plain with so much going on, on the front of the card.

Friend card......and a VIDEO!

How Exciting to have Mary Fish, from Stampin' Pretty, do a One Minute to WOW video on MY TECHNIQUE!!!!  Thank you Mary!!!! You can check out her blog and the video HERE.  Mary is so talented!! I check out her blog daily, you should too :)

Onto my card for today.............

Here is another variation of the Designer Label Punch being used a different way.  I posted just below the steps to achieve a different label to go with the word window, and this is another way of doing it too. I punched the word window label down by double punching it as well to make it smaller and fit perfectly.

First the card:

Punch the cardstock once, turn it to the smaller end.....

End Result!!!

Hope you like my idea!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Having an Irish Mum certainly makes me break out the greens this week, and wear it proudly.  I made this adorable card for her. I even sent it in the mail, even though we live only 10 minutes away from each other. I think she will love to get this in the mail!

My material is all Stampin Up!  I don't have a stamp that says 'Happy St. Patrick's Day', so I made one up on my computer and printed it out on White Cardstock from Stampin Up!  I also managed to come up with a new design to go with the Word Window punch. It may have been done before, I have yet to see it anywhere on the internet, but I love it.  I will post some pics of how I did it, but first the cute little card!!!!!!!

And, do you see what's behind the word window punch? It's the Designer Label Punch from Stampin Up! just punched twice!

Here are the steps:

1.  Punch out the shape using your favorite colored paper.

2.  Put the punched out shape back into the punch like this.....and punch again!

3. VOILA!!! Isn't that awesome!!! Fits perfectly with the Word Window Punch as you can see from the card above. And, if you turn the shape 90 degrees, you can use the side of the punch to make a smaller shape and cut the window punch down a bit.  Very easy!!!

Let me know what you think!!! Thanks for stopping in today!!!!

Boy birthday-monster time!!

I just love the little monsters set from Stampin up! I found my inspiration from a blog I came across recently. It inspired me to try some water-coloring and a boyish card. (I have two girls, so my cards usually tend to lean towards girlish colors)

All materials are Stampin Up! products.

Thanks for stopping in today.

The colors I used: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, and Black, with Vanilla for the card base.

Hope you like it!!!
