Christmas Simple and sweet

This week's sketch comes from Freshly Made Sketches. I love how simple and clean this card came out, with a few little details. The main focus is the wonderful Greeting.  Merry Monday's challenge was to have the focus be on the words of the cards.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 236

Only 46 days until halloween!!!!! (and 101 days until Christmas, but who's counting lol)

This weeks sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch was perfect for this little image.  I purchased a halloween stamp set years ago with little kitties, and this is my favourite.

I rotated the sketch. I hardly ever make a card horizontal. Isn't that strange? anyone else like that? 95% of my cards are vertical and they open at the top.

I went a step further and decided to make some extra little goodies to go with my card. I can't wait to decorate for halloween now :) I made two candle belly bands, and a treat box using the matchbox die from Stampin' Up!

FMS & Merry Monday

Merry Monday's challenge was to use transportation on our Christmas card. I chose a sled :) My girls love to go places being pulled in the sled, especially when it's snowing!

Freshly Made Sketches is where my inspiration came from for my card, and I think it really worked!

Unscripted Christmas

I have 4 Christmas cards made!! I am so excited. I am finally back to cardmaking. I took a break for a while and enjoyed the summer with the kids, but now they are back in school full time, and now I can play along with more sketches.

This sketch is from Unscripted Sketches.  I am going to try my hand at a Project life card since I just started with it.

Merry Monday & Fab Friday

I have to get started on some Christmas cards, so my daughter and I sat down and each made a card today. This sketch is from Fab Friday, and I decided to enter my first card (yes, my first of the year!) for Merry  Monday.  which called for gifts!!! There are some tiny little gifts around the snowman, hope that counts :)

So I am uploading my card, and my daughters card too, because she wanted me too :)

Get well soon

I can't believe how long it's been since I joined a challenge.  I feel so new! I feel like I don't know what I am doing. It took me a long time to get this card the way I wanted.

Today's card is for a special lady in my life.  I thought it might perk her up a bit since she has been in the hospital for quite some time.

I took the Freshly Made Sketches challenge sketch and turned it vertically. My design just looked better turned.
